How a single borewell in Midnapore Town grew into South Bengal's own packaged drinking water brand.
Built for Bengal, bottled in Bengal
AQUA6 was founded on 6th January 2023 in Midnapore Town by Unmona Choudhury and Suchira Choudhury, with a simple starting point: a single 20-litre jar refill service delivered door-to-door to homes and offices nearby.
As demand grew, the founders reinvested in the plant. On Akshaya Tritiya, 30th April 2025, AQUA6 switched on its automated bottling machine, launching the square-bottle range — 250ml, 500ml, 1L, 2L, 5L and 10L — now supplied through dealers across South Bengal.
We're privately owned and deliberately regional: our focus stays on Paschim Medinipur, Purba Medinipur and the surrounding towns of South Bengal rather than spreading thin across the state.
AQUA6 founded
Unmona Choudhury and Suchira Choudhury launch AQUA6 near No. 3 Pump House, Midnapore Town — starting with 20L jar doorstep delivery only.
FSSAI licence & ISI marking
Achieved ISI certification to IS 14543 for packaged drinking water and formal FSSAI licensing for the jar operation.
Automated bottling launched
On Akshaya Tritiya, AQUA6 switched on its automated bottling line, introducing the square-bottle range from 250ml up to 10L.
ISO 9001:2015 certified
Formalised our quality management system across sourcing, testing, filling and delivery.
Dealer network expansion
Onboarded authorised dealers across 25+ towns in Paschim & Purba Medinipur for the square-bottle range.
